Internationalization

Overview

The Internationalization Committee at Symbiosis Centre for Management Studies, Bengaluru believes in cultivating a vibrant international learning environment while fostering connections with academic communities worldwide.

We envision a higher education space in our institute where scholars, educators, and students from all corners of the globe are welcomed and encouraged to share their knowledge and perspectives. To realize this vision, the Internationalization Committee actively engages with foreign speakers, introduces global events, and brings forth several exchange programs and summer schools, all to promote global understanding and learning.

Through various initiatives and programs, we aim to create a more inclusive and globally aware campus environment. The committee has brought forward several international semester exchange programs, summer school programs, intra college events and interaction with different institutes. Some of these are-

Events

1. The Stance
A thrilling debate competition of students representing countries from around the world to express their opinions on pressing global issues. The event showcases the power of diplomacy through words as fervently debated topics ranging from climate change and economic policies to human rights and technology ethics are brought under spotlight.


2. Yuvamanthan 2023
Yuvamanthan is an annual intellectual battleground where the young minds come together to engage in rigorous debates and open-discussions. This event serves as a platform for nurturing leadership and promoting rumination, as participants tackle contemporary issues, under the G20 themes such as Future of Work, Peacebuilding and Reconciliation, Climate Change, Healthcare and Youth in Politics.

Deakin University Collaboration

Deakin University, a leading Australian institution, is delighted to announce its collaboration with SCMS Bengaluru. This partnership offers our students an exceptional opportunity to pursue a dual degree program, combining the rigors of Indian academia with the global perspective of Deakin University. Through this unique program, students will gain valuable insights into diverse business landscapes while earning two prestigious degrees.

Semester Exchanges

A student semester exchange program is an exciting opportunity that aims to offer exposure and travel opportunities. With once in a lifetime experience such as this, students from the 2nd year get to experience different cultures and broaden their connections.

Summer Programs

Summer is a time you can utilize to explore and learn new skills to help you in the future with the help of summer schools. Summer schools allow students to participate in special learning programs to explore their interests, develop new skills, get hands-on real-life experience, discover new cultures, and meet other students with similar interests.

Entrepreneurship Program

Babson Build, Boston

An entrepreneurship program offers aspiring innovators a platform to refine ideas, create business models, and empower students to launch and manage successful enterprises by encouraging creativity and strategic thinking.

One such program is the 'Babson Build' of Babson College, Boston. A 1–2-week program that allows students to immerse themselves in entrepreneurial thought and action and gain knowledge from top-tier faculty while forming lifelong friendships with international students who share the same devotion to entrepreneurship. It gives students the unique opportunity to develop innovative ideas to present business models while exploring the vibrant sight offered by Boston.
